Its combination of simplicity and strategic complexity contributes to its widespread appeal.

Two game modes

To play with humans, begin by finding a friend or family member as your opponent. Set up the board game and assign colors to each player. Take turns dropping discs into columns, aiming to connect four of your colored discs in a row. Play until someone achieves four in a row or the grid fills up.

To engage in a game against AI opponents, seek out an online platform that provides an AI mode. Select your desired difficulty level, initiate the game, and make your moves akin to playing against a human. The AI will react accordingly. Employ strategic thinking to outwit the AI and strive to connect four discs before it can. Continue playing until a player successfully achieves four in a row or the game culminates in a tie.
